Hadith #51768
وَعَن أبي هريرةَ قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَدِّثُ إِذْ جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَالَ: مَتَى السَّاعَةُ؟ قَالَ: «إِذَا ضُيِّعَتِ الْأَمَانَةُ فَانْتَظِرِ السَّاعَةَ» . قَالَ: كَيْفَ إِضَاعَتُهَا؟ قَالَ: «إِذَا وُسِّدَ الْأَمْرُ إِلَى غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ فَانْتَظِرِ السَّاعَةَ» . رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: While the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was speaking, a Bedouin came and said: When is the hour? He said: “If the trust is lost, wait for the Hour.” He said: How could I waste it? He said: “If the matter is entrusted to people other than those who deserve it, then wait for the Hour.” He narrated it Al-Bukhari
