وَعَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا تَعْجِزَ أُمَّتِي عِنْدَ رَبِّهَا أَنْ يُؤَخِّرَهُمْ نِصْفَ يَوْمٍ» . قِيلَ لِسَعْدٍ: وَكَمْ نِصْفُ يَوْمٍ؟ قَالَ: خَمْسُمِائَةِ سَنَةٍ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ
On the authority of Saad bin Abi Waqqas, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: “I hope that my nation will not be unable before its Lord to delay them by half.” “One day.” It was said to Saad: How much is half a day? He said: Five hundred years. Narrated by Abu Dawood
