Hadith #52003
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: (اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُم مُسلمُونَ)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَو أَن قَطْرَة من الزقوم قطرات فِي دَارِ الدُّنْيَا لَأَفْسَدَتْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ مَعَايِشَهُمْ فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ يَكُونُ طَعَامَهُ؟» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, read this verse: (Fear God as you should fear Him, and do not die unless you are Muslims) The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If a drop of Zaqqum were drops in the abode of the world, it would wreak havoc on the people of the earth.” What is their livelihood? What about their food? Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith.
