Hadith #52417
On the authority of Asim ibn Adi (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted permission to camel herders to stay overnight away from Mina. They would perform the stoning ritual on the Day of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha), then perform it again the following day for two days, and then perform it again on the Day of Departure (Arafat). This hadith was narrated by the five compilers of hadith (Abu Dawud, 1975), and authenticated by al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Hibban. It is authentic. It was also narrated by Abu Dawud (1975), al-Nasa'i (5/273), al-Tirmidhi (955), and Ibn Majah. (3037), and Ahmad (4/450), and Ibn Hibban (1015 Mawarid). Al-Tirmidhi said: It is good and authentic.
