Bulugh al-Maram — Hadith #52746

Hadith #52746
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- قَالَ: { كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ اَلْعِيدِ خَالَفَ اَلطَّرِيقَ } أَخْرَجَهُ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- صحيح لغيره.‏ رواه البخاري (986)‏، وله شواهد ذكرتها في "الأصل"، ومنها حديث ابن عمر الآتي.‏
There is an Idraj in its last part. So the narration is weak whether Marfu' [reaching back to the Prophet (ﷺ)] or Mawquf (saying of a Companion). And it's meaning is to put (one's) hands on his waist. This Hadith is more authentic than the Hadith narrated by Wa'il bin Hujr (RA).
