Hadith #52749
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { مِنَ اَلسُّنَّةِ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ إِلَى اَلْعِيدِ مَاشِيًا } رَوَاهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ, وَحَسَّنَهُ 1 .1 - ضعيف. رواه الترمذي (530) وأما قوله: "هذا حديث حسن" فليس بحسن، إذ إسناده تالف، وفيه عدة علل، ولا يقال بأن له شواهد، فكلها لا تصلح للاستشهاد بها بل ضعفها الحافظ بنفسه. وتخريج الشواهد والكلام عليها مفصل "بالأصل".
There is an Idraj in its last part.
So the narration is weak whether Marfu' [reaching back to the Prophet (ﷺ)] or Mawquf (saying of a Companion).
And it's meaning is to put (one's) hands on his waist.
This Hadith is more authentic than the Hadith narrated by Wa'il bin Hujr (RA).
