He told us: ‘Honesty was preserved in the roots of men’s hearts’ – (One of the narrators) Tanafisi said: ‘Meaning in the middle of men’s hearts’ – ‘Then the Qur’an was revealed and we learned (it) from the Qur’an and the Sunnah.’ Then he told us about its disappearance, saying; ‘A man will go to sleep and honesty will be taken away from his heart, and only its trace will remain, like spots without color. Then he will go to sleep again and the remainder of the honesty will also be taken away (from his heart) and leaving a trace like a blister, as when an ember touches your foot and raises a blister which has nothing inside.’” Then Hudhaifah picked up a handful of pebbles and rolled them on his leg. He said: “People will engage in business with one another, but there will hardly be any honest persons among them. Then it will be said that in such and such a tribe there is an honest man, and a man will be admired for his intelligence, good manners and strength, but there will not be even a mustard seed of faith in his heart.” "There was a time when I did not mind dealing with anyone of you, for if he was a Muslim, his religion would prevent him from cheating; and if he was a Christian, his Muslim ruler would prevent him from cheating. Abd ‌al-Razzaq told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Amr ibn Murrah, on the authority of Abu Ubaidah, on the authority of Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, who said that Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, a year after the death of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he said, “The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, rose among us.” In the first year, he said that the son of Adam was not given anything better than well-being, so ask God for well-being and be honest and righteous, for they will be in Paradise. And beware of lying and immorality, for they will be in the Fire.

Yahya bin ‌Hammad ‌and Affan told us, they said Abu Awanah told us, on the authority of Dawud bin Abdullah Al-Awdi, on the authority of Humaid bin Abd. Al-Rahman Al-Himyari, Ibn Abbas told us, in Basra, he said: I am the first, who came to Omar, may God be pleased with him, when he was stabbed, and said, “Keep from me three things.” For I fear that the people will not recognize me. As for me, I have not fulfilled the mandate and have not appointed a successor over the people, and every one of his slaves is an old man. So the people said to him, “Leave your successor.” He said, “Which of that should I do?” He who is better than me has done it. If I leave the affairs of the people to them, he has abandoned it. The Prophet of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and if he is appointed as successor, then he has appointed someone better than me as successor, Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him. So I said to him, “Give good news.” In Paradise, you accompanied the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and accompanied him for a long time, and you were in charge of the affairs of the believers, so you became strong and performed Honesty, so he said, “As for your giving me good news of Paradise, by God, if only I had it.” Affan said, “No, by God, there is no god but Him, if only I had it.” The world and all that is in it, I would have ransomed myself for it from the terror that was before me before I knew the news. As for your statement regarding the matter of the believers, by God, I would have liked That is sufficient for neither me nor mine, and as for what you mentioned about the companionship of the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, that is that.

Ya’qub told ‌us, ‌my ‌father told us, on the authority of Ibn Ishaq, Salim bin Abi Umayyah Abu al-Nadr told us, he said: A sheikh from Banu Tamim sat with me in Basra Mosque, with a newspaper in his hand. He said, “In the time of al-Hajjaj.” He said to me, “O Abdullah, do you think this book is of no use to me?” He said something about this authority, so I said, “What is this letter?” He said, “This is a letter from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, which he wrote for us, lest we He transgresses against us in our charity. He said, “No, by God, I do not think that it will be of any use to you.” And what was the status of this book? He said, “I submitted.” Medina with my father and I, a young boy, with our own camels that we sell. My father was a friend of Talha bin Ubayd Allah al-Taymi, so we went down to him and he said to him: “My father, go out with me and sell these camels to me.” He said, “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade selling a slave to a slave.” But I will go out with you and sit down and show off your camels. If you are satisfied with a loyal and honest man who bargained with you, I will order you to sell him. So we went out. To the market, we stood and Talha sat nearby. The men bargained with us until, when a man gave us what we were satisfied with, he said to him, “My father, I pledge allegiance to him.” He said Yes, I was satisfied with his loyalty to you, so pledge allegiance to him, so we pledged allegiance to him. When we had received what was ours and had finished our need, my father said to Talhah, “Take it for us from the Messenger of God.” May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, a letter not to transgress against us in our charity. He said, “This is for you and for every Muslim.” He said, “I am I would like to have a letter with me from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. So he left and brought us to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said: Oh Messenger of God, this man from the desert is a friend of ours, and he would like you to write him a letter that would not be violated in I believed him, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “This is for him and for every Muslim.” He said, “O Messenger of God, I would love to have a letter from you.” Based on that, he said, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, wrote for us this book, the last hadith of Talha bin Ubaid, may God be pleased with him. God bless him
