On the ‌authority ‌of ‌Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, he said: Some of the Ansar asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he gave them. Then they asked him and he gave them. Until he ran out of money. He said: “Whatever good I have, I will not withhold from you. And whoever abstains, God will pardon him, and whoever is needy.” God will enrich him, and whoever is patient, God will grant him patience, and no one has been given a gift that is better and more comprehensive than patience.”

On the authority of ‌Salman, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, addressed us on the last day of Sha`ban and said: “O people, a great month has overshadowed you.” Blessed is a month in which a night is better than a thousand months. God Almighty has made its fasting obligatory and its night prayers voluntary. Whoever draws near in it with a characteristic of Goodness is like one who performed an obligatory prayer in any other place, and whoever performed an obligatory prayer in it is like one who performed seventy obligatory prayers in any other place, and it is the month of patience and perseverance. His reward is Paradise, a month of consolation, and a month in which the believer’s livelihood is increased. Whoever breaks the fast in it for a fasting person will have forgiveness of his sins and free his neck. From the Fire, and he will have a reward similar to his, without his reward being diminished in the least. We said: O Messenger of God, not all of us can find something with which to break the fast when fasting. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “God will give this reward to whoever breaks the fast for a fasting person with a taste of milk, a date, or a drink of... Water, and whoever satisfies a fasting person, God will give him from my cistern a drink from which he will not be thirsty until he enters Paradise. It is a month whose beginning is mercy and whose middle is forgiveness. Its end will be emancipation from the Fire, and whoever eases the burden of what he possesses therein, God will forgive him and free him from the Fire.” Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi

He said: “Which thing is the perfect blessing?” He said: An invitation with which I hope for good. He said: “Among the completion of the blessing is entering Paradise and escaping from Hell.” And he heard a man He says: O Possessor of majesty and honor. He said: “Your request has been answered.” The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, heard a man saying: Oh God, I ask you for patience. He said: “I asked God for calamity, so ask Him for well-being.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi

On the authority ‌of Umm Salamah, she said: He came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, when Abu Salamah died, and you had been patient with me. He said: “What is this, Umm Salamah?” . I said: It is patience and there is nothing good in it. He said: “It makes the face look young, so do not apply it except at night and remove it.” During the day, do not comb with perfume or henna, for it is pigmentation.” Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Nasa’i

On the authority ‌of Abdullah bin Unais, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Indeed, among the greatest sins are associating others with God, disobeying one’s parents, and disobeying one’s oath.” Dips. No one who swears an oath to God with patience and enters into it like the wing of a mosquito, except that it is made a mark in his heart forever. On the Day of Resurrection. Al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said: This is a strange hadith.

On ‌the ‌authority of ‌Ibn Masoud, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The last person to enter Paradise will be a man who will walk sometimes, fall down sometimes, and be burned by Hell once.” So when they came to her, he turned to her and said: Blessed is he who saved me from you. God has given me something that he has not given anyone else. The first and the last. Then a tree will be raised up for him and he will say: O Lord, bring me nearer to this tree so that I may seek shade in its shade and drink from its water. He will say God: O son of Adam, perhaps if I gave it to you, you would ask Me for something else? So he says: No, O Lord, and he covenants that he will not ask him for anything else, and his Lord He excuses him because he sees something he has no patience for, so he brings him closer to it, so he can take shade in its shade and drink from its water. Then a tree is raised for him, which is... Better than the first, so he says: O Lord, bring me closer to this tree so that I may drink of its water and take shelter in its shade. I do not ask You for anything else. And he says: Oh Son of Adam, did you not promise Me that you would not ask Me for anything else? He says: Perhaps if I bring you close to it, you will ask me for something else? So he pledges to him that he will not ask him for anything else, but his Lord excuses him because he sees something that he has no patience for, so he brings him closer to it and takes shelter in its shade. He drinks from its water, then it is raised for him. I don't ask you for anything else. He said: Yes, O Lord, I do not ask You for anything else, by His Lord. He excuses him because he sees something he has no patience for, so he brings him closer to it, and when he gets close to it, he hears the voices of the people of Paradise, and he says: Oh, my Lord. Enter it, and he will say: O son of Adam, what keeps me from you? Would you be satisfied if I gave you the world and something similar to it? He said: O Lord, do you mock me when you are the Lord of the worlds? Ibn Masoud laughed and said: Don't you ask me why I'm laughing? They said: Why are you laughing? He said: This is how the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, laughed. They said: Why are you laughing, O Messenger of God? He said: “Who made the Lord of the worlds laugh? Then He says: I am not mocking you, but I am Able to do what I will.” Narrated by Muslim

The ‌Messenger of ‌Allah (ﷺ) passed by me when I was in pain and I was saying: O Allah, if my time has come then grant me relief, if it has not yet come then raise me in status, and if this is a trial then grant me patience. He said: “What did you say?” I repeated it to him, then he nudged me with his foot and said: `What did you say?` I repeated it to him and he said: “O Allah, grant him well being or heal him.” And I never suffered that pain again after that. It was narrated that `Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: I was ill and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed by me... And he mentioned a similar report, except that he said: “O Allah, grant him well being; O Allah, heal him.”

Ja'far bin ‌Aoun told ‌us, on the authority of Zakaria, on the authority of Al-Sha'bi, on the authority of Abdullah bin Muti', on the authority of Muti', who said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said on the day of the conquest of Mecca: “No Qurayshite will be killed for patience after this day until the Day of Resurrection.” Ya’la told us, Talk to us Zakaria, on the authority of Amer, said: Abdullah bin Muti’ said, I heard Muti’, saying: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. .. .. .. . So he mentioned something similar. Abu Muhammad said: They explained that: That a Qurayshite should not be killed for disbelief, meaning: This does not mean that a Qurayshite should not be killed for disbelief after that day. As for driving, he will be killed

On ‌the authority ‌of ‌Abu Abbas Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:One day I was behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) [riding on the same mount] and he said, “O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]: Be mindful of Allah and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, then ask Allah [alone]; and if you seek help, then seek help from Allah [alone]. And know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with what Allah had already prescribed for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with anything, they would not harm you except with what Allah had already prescribed against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.” It was related by at-Tirmidhi, who said it was a good and sound hadeeth. Another narration, other than that of Tirmidhi, reads: Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. Recognize and acknowledge Allah in times of ease and prosperity, and He will remember you in times of adversity. And know that what has passed you by [and you have failed to attain] was not going to befall you, and what has befallen you was not going to pass you by. And know that victory comes with patience, relief with affliction, and hardship with ease.

On the ‌authority ‌of ‌Abu Malik al-Harith bin Asim al-Asharee (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Purity is half of iman (faith). ‘Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah)’ fills the scales, and ‘subhan-Allah (how far is Allah from every imperfection) and ‘Al-hamdulillah (praise be to Allah)’ fill that which is between heaven and earth. And the salah (prayer) is a light, and charity is a proof, and patience is illumination, and the Qur’an is a proof either for you or against you. Every person starts his day as a vendor of his soul, either freeing it or causing its ruin.” [Muslim]
