حَدَّثَنَا مَطَرٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بِسْطَامٌ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ قُرَّةَ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي أَبِي: يَا بُنَيَّ، إِذَا مَرَّ بِكَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ، فَلَا تَقُلْ: وَعَلَيْكَ، كَأَنَّكَ تَخُصُّهُ بِذَلِكَ وَحْدَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ وَحْدَهُ، وَلَكِنْ قُلِ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ
Matar narrated to us, saying: Ruh bin Ubadah narrated to us, saying: Bastam narrated to us, saying: I heard Muawiyah bin Qurra saying: My father said to me: O my son, if The man passed by you and said: Peace be upon you, so do not say: And upon you, as if you were singling this out only for him, for he is not alone, but say: Hello
