حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي قُرَّةُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْهُجَيْمِيُّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ الْهُجَيْمِيِّ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْتَبٍ فِي بُرْدَةٍ، وَإِنَّ هُدَّابَهَا لَعَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَوْصِنِي، قَالَ: «عَلَيْكَ بِاتِّقَاءِ اللَّهِ، وَلَا تَحْقِرَنَّ مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ شَيْئًا، وَلَوْ أَنْ تُفْرِغَ لِلْمُسْتَسْقِي مِنْ دَلْوِكَ فِي إِنَائِهِ، أَوْ تُكَلِّمَ أَخَاكَ وَوَجْهُكَ مُنْبَسِطٌ، وَإِيَّاكَ وَإِسْبَالَ الْإِزَارِ، فَإِنَّهَا مِنَ الْمَخِيلَةِ، وَلَا يُحِبُّهَا اللَّهُ، وَإِنِ امْرُؤٌ عَيَّرَكَ بِشَيْءٍ يَعْلَمُهُ مِنْكَ فَلَا تُعَيِّرْهُ بِشَيْءٍ تَعْلَمُهُ مِنْهُ، دَعْهُ يَكُونُ وَبَالُهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَأَجْرُهُ لَكَ، وَلَا تَسُبَّنَّ شَيْئًا» ، قَالَ: فَمَا سَبَبْتُ بَعْدُ دَابَّةً وَلَا إِنْسَانًا
Abdullah bin Muhammad told us, he said: Wahb bin Jarir told us, he said: Qurrah bin Khalid told us, he said: Qurrah bin Musa al-Hujaimi told me, On the authority of Sulaym bin Jabir Al-Hujaimi, who said: I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, while he was covering himself in a cloak, and its fringe was on... His feet, so I said: O Messenger of God, advise me. He said: “You must fear God, and do not despise anything that is good, even if you empty the water for someone who is drawing water. Your bucket is in its vessel, or you speak to your brother with your face down, and beware of letting the garment loose, for it is a form of imagination, and he does not like it.
