Hadith #37876
قالت: بعد وفاة زوجي أبي سلمة، كنت أضع المسكر في عيني. فقال رسول الله ﷺ: إنه يزين الوجه، فلا تضعيه إلا في الليل، وانزعيه في النهار، ولا تعطري ولا تحنّي، فإن ذلك خدعة. قالت أم سلمة: قلت: فبماذا أمشط شعري؟ قال: بأوراق الكولا، وإسنادها حسن. [1211]
She said: After the death of my husband Abu Salamah, I used to apply ‘musabbar’ to my eyes. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: It gives beauty to the face, so do not apply it except at night, and remove it during the day, and do not style your hair with perfume or apply henna, because that is khizaab.\nUmm Salamah said: I said: Then with what should I comb my hair? He said: With the leaves of the kula. - Its isnaad is hasan. [1211]
