حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو رَوَاحَةَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَيْهَمَ، عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الطَّائِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، قَالَ: إِنَّ لِلشَّيْطَانِ مَصَالِيًا وَفُخُوخًا، وَإِنَّ مَصَالِيَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَفُخُوخَهُ: الْبَطَرُ بِأَنْعُمِ اللَّهِ، وَالْفَخْرُ بِعَطَاءِ اللَّهِ، وَالْكِبْرِيَاءُ عَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ، وَاتِّبَاعُ الْهَوَى فِي غَيْرِ ذَاتِ اللَّهِ
Ali bin Hajar narrated to us, saying: Ismail narrated to us, saying: Abu Rawahah Yazid bin Ayham narrated to me, on the authority of Al-Haytham bin Malik Al-Tai, who said: I heard Al-Numan bin Bashir say on the pulpit, he said: Satan has traps and traps, and Satan’s traps and traps are: Taking pride in God’s blessings, pride in God’s gifts, pride in God’s servants, and following desires other than God’s sake.
