Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #44952

Abu Al-Mughirah told us, Al-Awza’i told us, Yahya bin Abi Kathir told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Taymi, Shaqiq bin Salamah, on the authority of Hamran, said: Othman, may God be pleased with him, was sitting in the seats, so he called for ablution and performed ablution, then he said, “I saw the Messenger of God.” God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, performed ablution in this seat of mine, then he said: Whoever performs ablution like this my ablution and then gets up and kneels two rak’ahs will be forgiven. What preceded was his sin, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Do not be deceived.”
