Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45648

Abdullah narrated to us, Ishaq bin Ismail narrated to us, and Abu Khaythamah narrated to us, they said, Waki’ narrated to us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, h. Abd said By God, my father told me, Waki’ told us, Sufyan and Israel told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Asim bin Damra, he said, “We asked Ali, may God be pleased with him.” God said, on his authority, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, voluntary prayers during the day. He said: Ali said: Those are sixteen rak’ahs that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, volunteered. And he said hello during the day, and there are few people who persevere in it. Waki` told us, he said, and my father said, Habib ibn Abi Thabit said, O Abu Ishaq: I would not like to have this talk of yours to fill this mosque of yours with gold.
