Hadith #44980
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْكَبِيرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ تَعَمَّدَ عَلَيَّ كَذِبًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ بَيْتًا فِي النَّارِ.
Abd al-Kabir ibn Abd al-Majid Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, Abd al-Hamid ibn Ja`far narrated to us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Mahmoud ibn Labid, on the authority of Uthman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Whoever deliberately tells a lie against me, let him repent.
