حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنِي نُبَيْهُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ بَعَثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ وَكَانَ يَخْطُبُ بِنْتَ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَلَى ابْنِهِ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمَوْسِمِ فَقَالَ أَلَا أُرَاهُ أَعْرَابِيًّا إِنَّ الْمُحْرِمَ لَا يَنْكِحُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ أَخْبَرَنِي بِذَلِكَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ و حَدَّثَنِي نُبَيْهٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ بِنَحْوِهِ.
Abdullah narrated to us, Muhammad bin Abi Bakr Al-Muqaddami narrated to me, Hammad bin Zayd narrated to us, on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Nafi’, Nabih bin Wahb, Omar bin Ubaid Allah bin Muammar said, and he was proposing to Bint Shaybah bin Uthman to his son, so he sent for Aban bin Othman, while he was at the wedding party, said, “Don’t I see him as a Bedouin? A person in ihram does not marry or be given in marriage. Othman, may God be pleased with him, informed me of that on the authority of the Prophet May God bless him and grant him peace, and his Prophet told me something similar on the authority of his father.
