Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45026

Abdullah told us, Wahb bin Baqiyya al-Wasiti told us, Khalid, meaning Ibn Abdullah, told us, on the authority of al-Jariri, on the authority of Urwa bin Qabisah, on the authority of a man, from the Ansar, on the authority of his father, who said: I was standing with Uthman ibn Affan, may God be pleased with him, and he said: Shall I not tell you how? The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was performing ablution. We said, “Yes,” so he called for water, washed his face three times, rinsed his mouth and sniffed his mouth three times, then washed his hands until His elbows three times, then he wiped his head and ears, and washed his feet three times, then said, “This is what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was.” He, peace and blessings be upon him, performs ablution
