حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ، قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنَ ابْنُ جُرْمُوزٍ عَلَى عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَأَنَا عِنْدَهُ، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بَشِّرْ قَاتِلَ ابْنِ صَفِيَّةَ بِالنَّارِ ثُمَّ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيًّا وَحَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ سَمِعْت سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ الْحَوَارِيُّ النَّاصِرُ.
Muawiyah bin Amr told us, Zaida told us, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Zirr bin Hubaysh, he said: Ibn Jarmuz asked Ali’s permission, may God be pleased with him. While I was with him, Ali, may God be pleased with him, said: Good news for the one who killed Ibn Safiya with fire. Then Ali, may God be pleased with him, said: I heard the Messenger of God. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he says that every prophet has a disciple, and my disciple is Al-Zubayr. I heard Sufyan say, the disciple Al-Nasir.
