Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45164

Abdullah bin Al-Walid narrated to us, and Abu Ahmad Al-Zubayri narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Abd al-A’la, on the authority of Abu Abd al-Rahman, on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him. Sufyan said, “I do not know him unless he attributed it.” He said, “Whoever lies in his dream will be charged with a contract on the Day of Resurrection.” A ritual, Abu Ahmad said, he said, “I see it on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.”
