حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حُجَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَسْتَشْرِفَ الْعَيْنَ وَالْأُذُنَ.
Waki` narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Salama, on the authority of Hujjayya, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him. He said, “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded us.” To see with the eye and the ear.
