Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45296

Abdullah told us, Abu Saleh told me, Hadiya bin Abdul Wahhab told us in Mecca, Muhammad bin Ubaid al-Tanafisi told us, Yahya bin told us Ayoub Al-Bajli, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, on the authority of Wahb Al-Sawa’i, he said: Ali, may God be pleased with him, addressed us and said, “Who is the best of this nation?” After its Prophet, so I said, “You, O Commander of the Faithful.” He said, “There is no good for this nation after its Prophet, Abu Bakr, then Omar, may God be pleased with him.” We ignore the fact that Al-Sakinah was spoken on the lips of Omar, may God be pleased with him.
