حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْوَرَكَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ، نَجِيحٌ الْمَدَنِيُّ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ وُضِعَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بَيْنَ الْمِنْبَرِ وَالْقَبْرِ فَجَاءَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حَتَّى قَامَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ الصُّفُوفِ فَقَالَ هُوَ هَذَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ مَا مِنْ خَلْقِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَلْقَاهُ بِصَحِيفَتِهِ بَعْدَ صَحِيفَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ هَذَا الْمُسَجَّى عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبُهُ.
Abdullah narrated to us, Muhammad bin Ja’far Al-Warkani narrated to me, Abu Ma’shar narrated to us, Najih Al-Madani, the client of Banu Hashim, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with him, said: Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, was placed between the pulpit and the grave, and Ali, may God be pleased with him, came. Until he stood in front of the rows and said, “This is it” three times, then he said, “May God have mercy on you, there is none of God Almighty’s creation more beloved to me than meeting him.” With his newspaper, after the newspaper of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, from this person whose garment is covered.
