Hadith #45400
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ أُتِيَ عَلِيٌّ بِزَانٍ مُحْصَنٍ فَجَلَدَهُ يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ مِائَةَ جَلْدَةٍ ثُمَّ رَجَمَهُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ جَمَعْتَ عَلَيْهِ حَدَّيْنِ فَقَالَ جَلَدْتُهُ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَرَجَمْتُهُ بِسُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Hushaym narrated to us, Ismail bin Salem narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, he said: A chaste adulterer was brought to Ali and he was flogged with one hundred lashes on Thursday, then He stoned him on Friday, and it was said to him: “You have committed two punishments against him.” So he said: “I flogged him according to the Book of God, and I stoned him according to the Sunnah of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” May peace and blessings be upon him
