Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45412

Bahz and Affan narrated to us, they said, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, on the authority of Ya’la bin Ata’, he said, Affan said, Ya’la bin Ata informed us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Yassar, on the authority of Amr bin Harith, that he returned Hasan while Ali was with him, and Ali, may God be pleased with him, said, “Do you return to Hassan while there is something in his soul?” In it, he said, “Yes, you are not the master of my heart, so you can turn it wherever you want.” He said, “But that does not prevent me from giving you advice.” I heard the Messenger of God God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, says: “There is no Muslim who returns a Muslim except that God sends seventy thousand angels to pray over him.” What time of the day it was until evening and what time of the night it was until morning.
