Hadith #44817
حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ الْخَيَّاطُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ زَادَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ مِنْ الْأُسْطُوَانَةِ إِلَى الْمَقْصُورَةِ وَزَادَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ لَوْلَا أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ نَبْغِي نَزِيدُ فِي مَسْجِدِنَا مَا زِدْتُ فِيهِ.
Hammad Al-Khayyat told us, Abdullah told us, on the authority of Nafi’, that Omar, may God be pleased with him, increased in the mosque from the cylinder to the Al-Maqsurah, and Othman, may God be pleased with him, added, and Omar, may God be pleased with him, said, “If I had not heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, He says, “We want to add to our mosque what you have added to it.”
