حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ الْبَاهِلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بِشْرٍ، سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحُلَّةِ حَرِيرٍ فَبَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَيَّ فَلَبِسْتُهَا فَرَأَيْتُ الْكَرَاهِيَةَ فِي وَجْهِهِ فَأَمَرَنِي فَأَطَرْتُهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ النِّسَاءِ.
Abdullah told us, Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin Amr bin Al-Abbas Al-Bahili told us, Abu Dawud told us, Shu’bah told us, Abu Bishr told me, I heard Mujahid, speaking on the authority of Ibn Abi Laila, I heard Ali, may God be pleased with him, saying, “The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came.” He delivered a silk suit and sent it to me, so I put it on. I saw hatred on his face, so he ordered me to pour it out as wine among the women.
