حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، قَالَ بَهْزٌ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي آخِرِ وِتْرِهِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَأَعُوذُ بِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ وَلَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ.
Bahz told us, and Abu Kamil told us, Hammad told us, Bahz told us, Hisham bin Amr Al-Fazari told us, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Al-Harith bin Hisham Al-Makhzoumi, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to say at the end of his Witr prayer: O God, I seek refuge in Your satisfaction from Your wrath, and I seek refuge in Your forgiveness from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You, and I do not praise You as You have praised me.
