Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45462

Abdullah narrated to us, Ishaq bin Ismail narrated to us, Mushar bin Abdul-Malik bin Sala’ narrated to us, Abu Abdul-Malik bin Sala’, he said, “Abdul Khair led us in prayer at dawn, and he said, ‘One day we prayed the dawn prayer behind Ali, may God be pleased with him.’ When he said the salutation, he got up and we stood with him.” So he started walking until he reached the spacious area, where he sat down and leaned his back against the wall. Then he raised his head and said, “O Qanbar, bring me the kneeler.” And the basin, then he said to him, “Pour.” So he poured it on him, then he washed his hand three times and put it in his right hand. He rinsed his mouth and sniffed it out three times, then put it in his right hand. So he washed his face three times, then he put his right hand in and washed his right arm three times, then he washed his left arm three times, and he said: This is the ablution of the Messenger of God. May God bless him and grant him peace
