حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْبَخْتَرِيِّ الطَّائِيَّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ، سَمِعَ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ لَمَّا بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ فَقُلْتُ تَبْعَثُنِي وَأَنَا رَجُلٌ حَدِيثُ السِّنِّ وَلَيْسَ لِي عِلْمٌ بِكَثِيرٍ مِنْ الْقَضَاءِ قَالَ فَضَرَبَ صَدْرِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ اذْهَبْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سَيُثَبِّتُ لِسَانَكَ وَيَهْدِي قَلْبَكَ قَالَ فَمَا أَعْيَانِي قَضَاءٌ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ.
Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Amr ibn Murrah, he said, I heard Abu al-Bakhtari al-Tai, he said, someone who heard Ali told me, May God be pleased with him, he says: When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent me to Yemen, I said, “You will send me, and I am a modern man.” age, and I have no knowledge of much of the jurisprudence. He said: Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, struck my chest and said, “Go, for God Almighty will establish Your tongue and guides your heart. He said, “How difficult is a judgment between two people.”
