حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، قَالَ اجْتَمَعَ عَلِيٌّ وَعُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا بِعُسْفَانَ فَكَانَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَنْهَى عَنْ الْمُتْعَةِ وَالْعُمْرَةِ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مَا تُرِيدُ إِلَى أَمْرٍ فَعَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَنْهَى عَنْهَا فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ دَعْنَا مِنْكَ.
Muhammad ibn Ja`far told us, Shu`bah told us, on the authority of Amr ibn Murrah, on the authority of Sa`id ibn al-Musayyab, he said: Ali and Uthman, may God be pleased with him, met They left for Usfan, and Uthman, may God be pleased with him, used to forbid Mut’ah and Umrah, so Ali, may God be pleased with him, said: What do you want? The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did so and forbade it, and Othman, may God be pleased with him, said, “Let us leave you.”
