حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حَارِثَةَ بْنَ مُضَرِّبٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا لَيْلَةَ بَدْرٍ وَمَا مِنَّا إِنْسَانٌ إِلَّا نَائِمٌ إِلَّا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي إِلَى شَجَرَةٍ وَيَدْعُو حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَّا فَارِسٌ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ غَيْرَ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ‏.‏
Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, he said: I heard Harithah ibn Mudharib, narrating on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, he said We saw on the night of the full moon, and not a single person among us was asleep except the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, for he was praying until... A tree and prayed until morning, and there was not a knight among us on the day of Badr except Al-Miqdad ibn Al-Aswad.
