Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45620

Muhammad ibn Ja`far told us, Hajjaj told me, Shu`bah told me, he said, I heard Malik ibn Arfata, he said, I heard Abd Khair, he said, I saw Ali. May God be pleased with him. A chair was brought and he sat on it. Then a jug of water was brought. Hajjaj said, a jug of water. He said, he washed his hands three times and rinsed his mouth. Three times, while inhaling with one water, and he washed his face three times, and washed his arms three times. Hajjaj said three times, with one hand, and put his hands in the bowl. Then he wiped his head, Hajjaj said, and he pointed with his hands from the front of his head to the back of his head. He said, “I don’t know how to put it back.” The front of his head or not, and he washed his feet three times. Hajjaj said three times. Then he said, “Whoever wants to look at the purification of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” This is the purification of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
