Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45619

He said So he sent me, and when I came, he said, “O Ali, do not be a seducer, nor a conceiter, nor a merchant, except a good merchant, for those are procrastinators or They are ahead of the work. Muhammad bin Ja’far told us, Shu’bah told us about Al-Hakam, on the authority of a man from the people of Basra who said, “And the people of Basra know him as Abu Mawri’.” He said: The people of Kufa used to call him Abu Muhammad. He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was at a funeral. He mentioned something similar to the hadith of Abu Dawud on the authority of Abu Shihab.
