حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، أَنْبَأَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى أَنْ يُمْسِكَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ نُسُكِهِ شَيْئًا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ.
Muhammad bin Jafar told us, Muammar told us, Al-Zuhri told us, on the authority of Abu Ubaid, the servant of Abd al-Rahman bin Awf, who said: I bore witness to Ali. May God be pleased with him.
