حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلْمٍ، خَلِيلُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّا لَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ أَوْ كَلْبٌ وَكَانَ الْكَلْبُ لِلْحَسَنِ فِي الْبَيْتِ.
Abdullah told us, Abu Salam told us, Khalil bin Salam told us, Abdul-Warith told us, on the authority of Al-Hasan bin Dhakwan, on the authority of Amr bin Khaled, On the authority of Habib bin Abi Thabit, on the authority of Asim bin Damra, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, that Gabriel came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said We do not enter a house in which there is an image or a dog, and if a dog is good in the house.
