حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، رَجُلٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْسٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ، أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، قَالَ‏:‏ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ فِي الصَّلاةِ، قَالَ‏:‏ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ذُو الْمَلَكُوتِ وَالْجَبَرُوتِ، وَالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ، قَالَ‏:‏ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ الْبَقَرَةَ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعَهُ نَحْوًا مِنْ قِيَامِهِ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ‏:‏ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ، سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، فَكَانَ قِيَامُهُ نَحْوًا مِنْ رُكُوعِهِ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ‏:‏ لِرَبِّيَ الْحَمْدُ، لِرَبِّيَ الْحَمْدُ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، فَكَانَ سُجُودُهُ نَحْوًا مِنْ قِيَامِهِ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ‏:‏ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى، سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، فَكَانَ مَا بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ نَحْوًا مِنَ السُّجُودِ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ‏:‏ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي، رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي حَتَّى قَرَأَ الْبَقَرَةَ، وَآلَ عِمْرَانَ، وَالنِّسَاءَ، وَالْمَائِدَةَ، أَوِ الأَنْعَامَ، شُعْبَةُ الَّذِي شَكَّ فِي الْمَائِدَةِ، وَالأَنْعَامِ‏.‏
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, he said: Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Amr ibn Murrah, on the authority of Abu Hamza, a man From the Ansar, on the authority of a man from Banu Abs, on the authority of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman, that he prayed with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, during the night. He said: When he entered into prayer, he said: God is the Greatest, Possessor of kingdom and might, pride and greatness. He said: Then he recited Al-Baqarah, then he bowed. His bowing was similar to his standing, and he was saying: Glory be to my Lord the Great, Glory be to my Lord the Great, then he raised his head, and his standing was Similar to his bowing, and he used to say: To my Lord, praise be to my Lord. Then he prostrated, so his prostration was similar to his standing, and he used to say: Glory be to my Lord, the Most High, Glory be to my Lord, the Most High. Then he raised his head, and the interval between the two prostrations was like a prostration, and he was saying: My Lord. Forgive me, Lord, forgive me until he recited Al-Baqarah, and the family of Imran, and the women, and the table, or Al-An’am, the branch of the one who doubted the table, And the cattle
