وَعَن مُعَاوِيَة قَالَ: إِنَّكُمْ لَتُصَلُّونَ صَلَاةً لَقَدْ صَحِبْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَا رَأَيْنَاهُ يُصَلِّيهِمَا وَلَقَدْ نَهَى عَنْهُمَا يَعْنِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْر. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
On the authority of Muawiyah, he said: Indeed, you pray a prayer that we accompanied the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and we did not see him praying them, and he forbade them, meaning The two rak'ahs after the afternoon prayer. Narrated by Al-Bukhari
