Hadith #48332
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً فليؤمهم أحدهم وأحقهم بِالْإِمَامِ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ فِي بَابٍ بَعْدَ بَابِ «فَضْلِ الْأَذَانِ»
On the authority of Abu Saeed, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If there are three of them, let one of them lead them in prayer, and the most worthy of the imam is the one closest to them.” Narrated by Muslim
He mentioned the hadith of Malik bin Al-Huwaith in chapter after chapter “The virtue of the call to prayer.”
