وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ: إِنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ أَرْسَلَهُ إِلَى السَّائِبِ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ رَآهُ مِنْهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ الْجُمُعَةَ فِي الْمَقْصُورَةِ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ الْإِمَامُ قُمْتُ فِي مَقَامِي فَصَلَّيْتُ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ فَقَالَ: لَا تَعُدْ لِمَا فَعَلْتَ إِذَا صَلَّيْتَ الْجُمُعَةَ فَلَا تَصِلْهَا بِصَلَاةٍ حَتَّى تكلم أوتخرج فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَنَا بِذَلِكَ أَنْ لَا نُوصِلَ بِصَلَاةٍ حَتَّى نتكلم أَو نخرج. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Amr ibn Ata’, he said: Nafi’ ibn Jubayr sent him to Al-Sa’ib to ask him about something that Muawiyah had seen from him during prayer, and he said: Yes, I prayed. He was with him in the hall for Friday prayers, and when the imam said the salaam, I stood in my place and prayed. When he entered, he sent for me and said: Do not come back. When you prayed Friday prayer, do not join it with a prayer until you speak or leave, for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded us not to join it with a prayer. Until we talk or go out. Narrated by Muslim
