وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ هَذَا السَّهَرَ جُهْدٌ وَثِقَلٌ فَإِذَا أَوْتَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَرْكَعْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَإِنْ قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَإِلَّا كَانَتَا لَهُ» . رَوَاهُ الدَّارِمِيُّ
On the authority of Thawban, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: “This staying up late is an effort and a burden, so when one of you prays the Witr prayer, let him kneel two rak’ahs. He got up during the night, otherwise they would be his. Narrated by Al-Darimi
