عَنْ جَابِرٌ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ فِي الْخَوْف بِبَطن نخل فَصَلَّى بِطَائِفَةٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ طَائِفَةٌ أُخْرَى فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ. رَوَاهُ فِي «شرح السّنة»
On the authority of Jabir: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to lead the people in the noon prayer in fear under the middle of palm trees, so he prayed two rak’ahs in a series of rak’ahs, then he gave the salutation, then Another group came and he led them in two rak'ahs of prayer, then he gave the salutation. Narrated in “Explanation of the Sunnah”
