Hadith #48637
On the authority of Anas, he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to Medina and they were having two days to play, so he said: “What are these two days?” They said: We used to play with them in pre-Islamic times, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “God has given you something better than them.” The Day of Al-Adha and the Day of Fitr.” Narrated by Abu Dawud
