وَعَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَبَّرَ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ فِي الْأُولَى سَبْعًا قَبْلَ الْقِرَاءَةِ وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ خَمْسًا قَبْلَ الْقِرَاءَةِ. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَابْن مَاجَه والدارمي
On the authority of Kathir bin Abdullah, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said the “Allahu Akbar” on the first of the two Eids, seven times before the recitation. And in the afterlife, five times before reading. Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and Al-Darimi
