Hadith #48868
وَعَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ فِي ذِمَّتِكَ وَحَبْلِ جِوَارِكَ فَقِهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ وَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ الْوَفَاءِ وَالْحَقِّ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْن مَاجَه
On the authority of Wathilah bin Al-Asqa’, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, led us in prayer over a man from among the Muslims, and I heard him say: “Oh God, so-and-so The son of so-and-so is under your protection and your neighbourhood. He has been protected from the temptation of the grave and the torment of the Fire, and you are worthy of loyalty and truth, O God. Forgive him and have mercy on him. Indeed, You are the Forgiving, the Merciful. Narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah
