Hadith #49148
On the authority of Abdullah bin Amr: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Fasting and the Qur’an intercede for the servant. The fasting person says: ‘Yes, my Lord! I prevented him from food and desires during the day, so grant me intercession on his behalf. And the Qur’an says: I prevented him from sleeping at night, so grant me my intercession on his behalf. They will intercede.” Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab Al-Iman
