Hadith #49171
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْوِصَالِ فِي الصَّوْمِ. فَقَالَ لَهُ رجل: إِنَّك تواصل يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: وَأَيُّكُمْ مِثْلِي إِنِّي أَبَيْتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي ويسقيني "
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade uninterrupted ties during fasting. Then a man said to him: You are continuing, O Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: And which of you is like me? I stay at night and my Lord feeds me and gives me drink.
