On the authority of Umm Amara bint Ka’b, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, entered upon her and she called for food for him, and he said to her: “Eat.” She said: I am fasting. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “When a fasting person eats, the angels pray over him until he finishes.” Narrated by Ahmed Al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and Al-Darimi
