Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #49355

On the authority of Khaled bin Maadan, he said: Read Al-Munjiyya, which is (Alam Tanzil), for I have heard that a man used to recite it as he would recite anything else, and he was many sinners. Then she spread her wings over him and said: My Lord, forgive him, for he used to read to me often, so the Almighty Lord interceded for him on his behalf and said: Write for him with all A good sin, and raise him in rank.” He also said: “It is pleading on behalf of its companion in the grave, saying: O God, if I am from Your Book, then grant me intercession.” And if I am not of your book, then forgive me for it. And it will be like a bird that flaps its wings over it and will intercede for it and protect it from the torment.
