وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اتَّخَذْتُ عِنْدَكَ عَهْدًا لَنْ تُخْلِفَنِيهِ فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ فَأَيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ آذَيْتُهُ شَتَمْتُهُ لَعَنْتُهُ جَلَدْتُهُ فَاجْعَلْهَا لَهُ صَلَاةً وَزَكَاةً وَقُرْبَةً تُقَرِّبُهُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ يَوْم الْقِيَامَة»
On his authority, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “O God, I have made a covenant with you that you will not break, for I am only a human being, so what You have harmed the believers, cursed him, cursed him, lashed him, so make it for him as a prayer and alms and an offering by which you will bring him closer to You on the Day of Resurrection.”
