وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنِ الْمُؤْمِنَ إِذَا أَذْنَبَ كَانَتْ نُكْتَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فِي قَلْبِهِ فَإِنْ تَابَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ صُقِلَ قَلْبُهُ وَإِنْ زَادَ زَادَتْ حَتَّى تَعْلُوَ قَلْبَهُ فَذَلِكُمُ الرَّانُ الَّذِي ذَكَرَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى (كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يكسِبونَ)
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيح
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “When a believer sins, there is a black spot on his face.” His heart, then if he repents and seeks forgiveness, his heart will be refined, but if he increases it, it increases until it rises to his heart, then that is the Rann who mentioned God Almighty (No, but What they used to earn is in their hearts. Narrated by Ahmad, Al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah. Al-Tirmidhi said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
